Package Fees and Charges
The family research packages are based on a minimum amount of time, we feel that the increments in the time spans allotted to each of the packages offer value for money to you the customer.
Hourly Fees and Charges
The Time is charged at an hourly rate, with additional increments in the hours & charges as shown in the charges table below. We do have a policy of a minimum amount of hours that we would ask you the client to accept if wanting to go for the hourly option, there is no maximum amount of time being set as time required is set by you the customer.
We would require a minimum payment of 35% from you the customer which would act as a deposit.
There may be times that you may incur additional charges, these costs can be are made from travel time to archive offices, travel to location for ancestral imagery, copying, postage, some telephone calls, etc. You are kept fully informed and no step is taken without your prior agreement. You are provided with a full research report showing what work has been undertaken on your behalf and which records and documents have been consulted.
Travel Expenses:
Travel costs within a 20 mile radius of Sheffield we do not charge travel expenses, outside the radius area travel cost will be levied at half of the hourly rate. This will equate to £17.50 per hour of travel, sometimes there may some exceptions and you will be advised of these before any commencement when it is appropriate to do so.
Probate Services & Expenses:
When probate research or beneficiary research is requested, we will provide a comprehensive breakdown of the costs involved in advance. When you the customer have approved the costs, we will require from you the customer a 50% deposit with the balance upon completion.
Ancestral Imagery services & Expenses:
Where ancestral imagery & location photography archive research is requested, we provide a comprehensive breakdown of the costs involved in advance. When you the customer have approved the costs, we will require from you the customer a 50% deposit with the balance upon completion.
Name Meaning Services:
This is a fun product that you can as a gift to any member of your family prices from £10.
Gift Certificates:
These are available for your relatives and friends in multiples of £10, £25, £50, £100.
Other Costs and Fees:
All other cost for photocopying of documents, postage, telephone calls, etc. Will be charged in addition to the hourly rate of £25 per hour.
Charges for official Birth, Marriage and Death certificates will be levied at the standard rate + postage and packaging.
When the customer has made a final agreement on how the research should proceed, and that they are in complete agreement with the package of costings and timeframe for their family history project.
